Is MagicWall™ suitable for your wall?

For best results, your wall should be smooth, even, and not located in a damp area such as a basement. See our recommendations below!

  • Smooth and even walls

Make sure the wall is smooth and free of texture so that MagicWall™ adheres properly.

  • Dry and clean surfaces

To ensure the best adhesion, the wall must be free of dust, dirt, and grease.

  • Matte or satin-finish paint

Surfaces with a slight texture provide better adhesion than high-gloss or stain-resistant paint.

  • Walls without wallpaper

MagicWall™ works best on painted or solid walls without paper or vinyl wallcoverings.

  • Walls in good condition

A clean, undamaged, and unpeeling wall will give the best results.

  • ⚠️ Just painted? Wait about a week

If the wall has been freshly painted, we recommend waiting 30 days to ensure that the paint has fully dried.

  • ⛔️ Stain-resistant paint

High-gloss paint or paint with stain-resistant properties has a smooth, protective surface that makes it resistant to dirt—but also difficult for MagicWall™ to adhere to. The product will not stick properly without special preparation of the wall.

  • ⛔️ Uneven surfaces & wallpaper

An uneven surface makes it difficult for MagicWall™ to adhere properly. We also do not recommend applying the product to wallpaper, as it may damage the surface when removed.

  • ⛔️ Air-purifying paint

Unfortunately, paint designed to purify the air may have a surface that is not compatible with MagicWall™

  • ⛔️ Worn, cracked, or peeling paint

If the wall is already in poor condition, MagicWall™ may make the problem worse. The pressure from the product may cause the paint to peel off.
